3-Question Survey regarding Countertop Composting:

Did you know that 25-50% of household waste is organic waste? The Town of Lumsden has been advised that the current landfill must be converted to a Transfer Station. This means, in the future, residents will be required to pay for all additional garbage brought to the Transfer Station and will likely see an increase in fees related to residential garbage pick-up. To reduce costs as well as our environmental footprint, Council is considering a program to subsidize countertop composters, so we would like to hear from you!
